I found a lot of Frog Spawn up Penderyn today, the Daffodils and Snowdrops are on the River Cynon in Robertstown also the bracket fungus .The Finches in my garden shot though glass and hopefully better to come.
You've usually had your first frogspawn before now. I'm surprised it hasn't been seen much earlier than usal this year, given the unusually mild winter. BTW, Martin, the rust to which I was referring are rust fungi. I should have made that clearer.
Frog Spawn as been reported for a coufle of week and yes I nomaly see it in feburary. But looking at the frogspawn it,s starting to form. Has for the rust I was starting to wonder if you have gone off your trollie. Are you camping in Cornwall.
No not camping. I've booked a holiday cottage in Mullion, on the Lizard, for a week of flint hunting, beach combing, trying to re-find a a rare lichen I once saw there, rust fungi of course and I might even see the odd bird too... oh and a moth that mines the stems of broom.
