Broad leaved helleborine

I found 12 up on Abernants Parish Road this morning in four different sites. Mark said they were in Abernant but I do not know if this is new site or mark knew about them. They are a lot easier to see with seed bods than flowers. There was also Canadian Fleabane and a lot of Ploughman's Spikenard.

 Fly Agaric Aberdare Park
Found this in Robertstown any ideas.

  1. It looks like something along those lines, but doesn't look quite right. The sepals seem to be too broad and the petal shape isn't right, but I think you are nearly there, Mike. A general shot of the plant usually makes identifying them easier, Mart.

  2. Sorry, I meant to say the petals are too broad and the sepals the wrong shape. I wonder if it is a garden variety of one of the Cinquefoils?

  4. I've never recorded it at any of those sites, so they coul well be new sites. I would look on MapMate, but I always find plant distribution on there, a bit meaningless, because most of the botanists tend to use "Recorder" to store their records and they don't appear on MapMate.
