On hearing yesterday there was a Kittiwake present at Llwyn Onn Reservoir which had been there since Friday, I decided to go and see if it was still present. I got there at 6.30 and on checking the spillway found only two Lesser Black Backed Gulls and decided to look along the dam wall where I found it sitting on the dam. At first thought it looked fine until it turned around and you could see how bad the injury was. It was sad to see this smart gull in such a bad way and I wished I had took some sprats with me to see if he would feed on them .
Mike informed me today the Kittiwake was unfortunately found dead yesterday.
