Mark the orange stuff from the Country park

Got a chance tonight to go back up and take better shots it looks like a moss up close with amazing colour. Everyone was just walking past me thinking what the hell is he doing and do I care no and what do you think.

    That's almost correct. If you look closely, you will see that it is growing over mosses. The most likely candidate is Trentepohlia aurea.
