Rhaslas

Several people about this morning so birds restless hence just record shots. Arctic tern[2] resting on tower, a single bar-tailed godwit flushed from east bank and dunlin[11] all summer plumage. Met Andrew Webber who took the below image on the parking site pool south of Rhaslas during February 2016, it looks like a winter knot to me, what do you reckon.

  2. Geri came to the same conclusion. Although the bird was not recorded on Rhaslas it adds to the number of passage species that use this "dark ridge" from the bay to the hinterland of Brecknock and beyond. Looks like an excellent place to build a wind farm, must bring it up at the next lodge meeting.
