Newtown Quarry

A quick walk this afternoon to Newtown Quarry resulted in my first Wood Warbler of the year. Apart from that just the usual woodland species and loads of Orange Tip butterflies.

    I hoped to find the usual Wood Warbler at the tunnel, Cwmbach, yesterday, but had no luck.

    That was my second visit so perhaps a shade late this year.

    No sign this evening at a local site thats held singing birds in 3 of the last 4 years
