A couple of shots from the weekend.

 Green Tiger Beetle.
 Bryn du Any ideas on this Moth.
 Robertstown on waste ground and found under a piece of wood any ideas.
Small Tortoiseshell Caterpillar.

  1. The easy first one is shears (you can see the shears on each wing) and the second appears to be a male brown rustic, feeds on dock.

  2. Cheers mike. how is the brown hawker hunt going. I have only seen three dragonflies .Broad bodied chaser , Four spotted chaser , Golden Ringed Dragon.

  6. re: brown hawker hunt, the only things I'm getting at the moment are blues, occasional brown china mark moths and a single distant chaser sp. I can see I'm going to have to try harder. No work on so I'll have plenty of time.

  7. Isn't it a little early for Brown Hawker, but then what do I know, having managed to get through the whole of the spring ant this much of June without seeing a singe Damselfly or Dragonfly!

  11. Full, mint condition, although my brown hawker may still be in its aquatic stage. I just need to find my net.
