re: brown hawker hunt, the only things I'm getting at the moment are blues, occasional brown china mark moths and a single distant chaser sp. I can see I'm going to have to try harder. No work on so I'll have plenty of time.
Isn't it a little early for Brown Hawker, but then what do I know, having managed to get through the whole of the spring ant this much of June without seeing a singe Damselfly or Dragonfly!
The easy first one is shears (you can see the shears on each wing) and the second appears to be a male brown rustic, feeds on dock.
ReplyDeleteCheers mike. how is the brown hawker hunt going. I have only seen three dragonflies .Broad bodied chaser , Four spotted chaser , Golden Ringed Dragon.
ReplyDeleteKeep your eyes peeled because I saw a Hummingbird Hawk-moth at Bodwigiad, this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteCheers mark what was it feeding on.
ReplyDeleteBramble, but only briefly before it shot off at high speed ,as they do.
