At Westhay it was great to see the Bearded Tits so close also nice to see people who had not seen them before and what a treat they had. A place at some point I would like to go back and spend some more time with the Beardies. We also had a coffee in the Noah's hide and got good views of this Kingfisher and was thought to be a male but on looking close I think could be a first year female .
Next stop was a bit of disappointment as the Lesser Yellowlegs had gone from Cheddar Reservoir. It was half empty and looked more like the saltpans we saw in Thailand earlier in the year and was a sight in it's self and was in fact weed.
Last stop was for the Shorties on Aust Wharf. It was freezing and wet as usual and also they did not show as usual.
That stuff at Cheddar looks weird. The photo of the Kingfisher you got you can see a bit of orange on the lower mandible so I agree with you about being female.
