Another wander round Navigation Park tonight produced a total of 54 flowering spikes for the Bee Orchid - it could get close to 100 in the next couple of weeks. Excellent news given I found the first there 2 years ago (a total of 3 spikes), and recorded 23 spikes last year.
On the wing were several Large Skippers and Meadow Brown.

Great stuff, Martin. Is Richard Wistow, the county ecologist aware of them?
